Where: Valhallabadet's Lilla bassängen at 25:an (participant must be able to reach the bottom of the shallow part of the pool)
Lesson time: Wednesdays at 17:15-17:45

Fees
Membership fee (calendar year): SEK 200
Course fee: See booking page, entrance included. (Note! SEK 100 deposit to Valhallabadet cash desk for entrance bracelet). The course fee includes entrance for the swimming school child, only during the swimming school lesson.

Weekly schedule HT 2025:
Wednesdays week: 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, *43 , 45, 46, 48, 50, 51
* Lifesaving day: week 43 (22/10)
- then you bring a freshly washed long-sleeved shirt and long pants, which the child can swim in.
- the child can try to "swim" with a life jacket, please bring your own, otherwise we have one to borrow.

Other info/routines Valhallabadet:                                                                                                    On Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, the swimming school changes in the girls'/boys' changing rooms behind the cashier. Enter via the main entrance. The first time you redeem an entrance band (100 SEK deposit). The bands are then also used to lock the lockers in the changing rooms. - At the start of the lesson, the participants gather with the swimming teachers at the small pool, next to the 25 m pool. The child must then be changed and ready for the lesson. -The parent is responsible for their child until the swimming teachers take over the children at the meeting (children are not allowed to stay in the swimming hall alone). -The parent accompanies their child to the swimming teacher before the start of the lesson and meets the child again, with the swimming teacher at the end of the lesson at the same meeting point, which will then ensure a safe handover. - During lesson time, parents are directed to the stands inside the 25m pool, above the barriers.

On the first and last occasion, ONE parent is welcome to join you at the pool  (NB!! you must be changed according to the swimming pool's rules) .

Swimmer (shallow water) prerequisites :
- For beginners, from 5 years old (turned during the holiday), no or little water experience.

Goal: To get good water experience by practicing:
• Dipping the head.
• Bubbling.
• Gliding with straight arms, face in the water and holding your breath.
• Floating on your stomach and in a back position.
• Jumping off the edge, with help/support.
• Practicing backstroke leg kick.
• Floating and rotating between back and stomach positions and stomach and back positions.
• Introduction to compound backstroke.
